With this in mind, many have been waiting for Lite-On's new 40/12/48 CD-RW, the LTR-40125S. Like the Plextor, it too has 40x writing and 12x rewriting speeds, but when it comes to reading CD's and doing DAE, its 48x speeds really have no equal. Like Lite-On's other drives, the LTR-40125S also features their own Smart-Burn and Smart-X technologies to prevent coasters and determine the best speeds for the media. |
These specs are impressive, but I'm sure the question on most of minds is how does it really perform? Is the LTR-40125S faster than Plextor's 40x writer? Does it have better media compatibility? The results might just surprise you.
Also expect some more reviews in the coming time, also the Plextor 40/12/40 is tested in our 'Labs' so if you are planning to buy this drive you might want to wait till you have read our review too.
