CDRLabs.com has wrapped up their review of the Lite-On LTR-52246S CD-RW recorder. As the model number suggests, this latest Lite-On recorder supports read and write speeds of up to 52x while re-writing is done at speeds up to 24x:

When it comes down to it, the Lite-On LTR-52246S is one of the better 52x writers we've tested. While affordably priced, this drive delivers many of the features consumers are looking for, along with some of the fastest reading and writing speeds available.
As a writer, the LTR-52246S is hard to beat. While the drive's average writing speed is slower than most of the other 52x writers we've looked at, it flew through our writing tests in record time. The LTR-52246's media compatibility was also very good. We tested the drive with media from many different manufacturers, and it was able to write to most of it at 52x. More importantly, it didn't sacrifice writing quality to do so.
