A new Windows Insider build adds more color options and memory manager improvements that should make Windows 10 feel more responsive. The build, that received number 10525, has been released to Windows Insiders in the fast ring. Microsoft has added the new features based on user feedback.
Apparently the company received a lot of feedback on the default color of Windows 10 as used on the Start Menu, Action Center, Taskbar and Title bars. Based on this feedback the Windows Insider build allows users to choose a color or automatically distract a color from the background image.
Another new feature of this build is an improvement of the memory manager which should make Windows 10 feel more responsive. The new memory manager will try to compress data stored in memory instead of writing the data to the disk when the memory limit near. This allows Windows 10 to have more applications in physical memory which should result in a more responsive system.
The new build is available to all Windows Insiders in the fast ring and they can update using the Updates and Security panel in their current Insider build.
Although Windows 10 has been officially released, Microsoft will continue to allow Windows Insider to test new features and provide feedback. Today's build 10525 is the first build after the official release of Windows 10 on the 29th of July.
