tranceaddict and andry were kind enough to use our news submit to tell us that Lite-On's highly anticipated DVD-recorder, the LDW-400D, has gone on sale on various websites! The DVD-recorder, supporting both the +RW (plus) and -RW (minus) format, has the following specifications:

The Lite-On LDW-400D will have an 8MB buffer and access times of around 250ms (for DVD) and 300ms (for CD). The drive's price is however a little disappointing since it's not that low as some of use would have liked. The LDW-400D can be purchased for around $ 300 (checked via PriceWatch).
