Netflix today started streaming series in High Dynamic Range (HDR) which should provide a wider gamut of colors and increased brightness. To enjoy HDR content a TV with support for the technology is required.
Previously Netflix already announced HDR support but it was unclear when it would become available. Today the feature was unleashed by surprise, some users accidently found out they could playback HDR content.
Currently only the first season of Marco Polo is available in HDR but it's expected the video streaming service will soon make more HDR content available.
