Erik Deppe has released new versions of Nero CD Speed and Nero Infotool. Nero CD Speed can be used to test the capabilities of your drive, and e.g we use them in our reviews to test the performance and compare drives. The latest version of Nero CD Speed now also supports C1 error testing on certain recorders (probably Lite-On and Plextor), which will likely satisfy a lot of users.
Nero CD Speed V2.10 changelog:
- Added Screen Capture Copy/Screen Capture Save functions (buttons on the titlebar)
To save the screen to png, jpeg or tiff a dll must be installed if you're not running Windows XP or later. This can be found here. - Language can be selected.

- Added DirectX version
- Added Operating System patch information
- Improved Driver information
- Improved video card detection
- Improved DVD speed detection
- If drive is locked by another application, Nero InfoTool will try to unlock it
- Small improvements and bug fixes
