OCZ Technology launch Solid V2 series value line SSD

OCZ Technology have announced a new “value line” SSD, the version 2 Solid series.

The original Solid series drives were powered by a JMicron SSD controller. The new version 2 Solid series SSD is to be powered by the very popular Indilinx Barefoot SSD controller found in the OCZ Vertex and Agility series of drives, but to keep prices down, the new Solid V2 series of SSD will use slower NAND.

The Solid V2 series will be available in 60GB and 120GB capacities, with maximum sustained reading speeds of up to 125MB/s and 100MB/s sustained writing speed.

No prices are available at this time.
