More hardware news today as
Pacific Digital has announced a new DVD recorder, the Mach-8. As the model number
suggests the DVD recorder can write DVD(+R) media at 8x. The Mach-8 is a dual
format recorder so it can also record DVD-R media and does so at
speeds of up to 4x. When looking at the specifications below, the Mach-8 sounds
a lot like the Plextor PX-708A DVD recorder:

The internal drive (U-30201) is available now at an MSRP of $ 179. An external USB 2.0 model (U-30202) will be available at the end of December.
