Newest PacketHound release eliminates illegal trading of copyrighted files
AMES, Iowa. (April 21, 2004) - Palisade Systems, a leading

release of PacketHound 3.0, its award-winning network application management
appliance. The newest version of PacketHound detects and stops the illegal
sharing of copyrighted materials using peer-to-peer (P2P) and other applications
including instant messaging, e-mail, and FTP.
PacketHound's ability to detect and stop copyrighted materials from being
shared illegally eliminates serious liability issues associated with all
file-sharing applications. The appliance can also be used to quantify and
document copyright infringement problems across the network, rather than relying

PacketHound 3.0 is available now. Pricing begins at $ 2,290 for educational
and non-profit institutions and $ 2,860 for commercial organizations. Content
Identification is sold as an add-on module for $ 2,000 per appliance.
