Padus releases DiscJuggler Version 6

Padus, Inc. has released Version 6.00.1400 of its professional disc burning software DiscJuggler.  For those new to DiscJuggler, this is a professional CD & DVD duplication, extraction and mastering software, with support also for HD DVD and Blu-ray disc recordable media.  For network environments, DiscJuggler also comes in a Network edition to allow writers to be shared over a network.

Version 6 adds complete support for MP3+G, WMA+G and WAV+G karaoke files.  Both the MP3+G and WMA+G karaoke formats use a separate CDG file which contains the graphic data, which DiscJuggler creates when extracting a Karaoke disc to either compressed format.  When writing the tracks back to CD, the extra CDG file information is used to create a CD+G disc or compilation.  DiscJuggler claims to be able to interleave and de-interleave the CDG information in software to allow the ripping and burning of MP3+G files over a wide range of drives.  By using MP3+G or WMA+G, consumers can rip their Karaoke collection while using as little as 1/8 the space of WAV+G files.

DiscJuggler can be obtained from Padus here.  An update to this version is available for owners of build versions 980 and higher by going into the program's Help menu and selecting the "Software Updates" option.   Thanks to Jim Kiler for letting us know about this news.
