D4rk0n3 used our news submit to tell us some more news coming from the Akihabara site this
morning. Apparently, they went on a field trip to the Panasonic building and
while they were there, they spotted some Blu-ray hardware.
We have just discovered the LF-MB121JD in the Panasonic building, the first Blu-Ray burner that reads and writes BD-R and BD-RE and reads BR-ROM too. Blank discs are available in 25 and 50 (Dual Layer) formats. The writing speed is set at 2x (72Mbps). Panasonic seems to have chosen sides in the format war, and according to Kazuhiro Tsuga, Panasonic supports Blu-Ray and they say that this is the only technology that will give consumers a true HD experience. |
Once again, you can visit the site for some more
