With the HD disc format ending, Paramount has announced that it will release its final HD DVD titles "Things We Lost in the Fire" and "Into the Wild" on Tuesday, 4th March, according to this Associated Press report. After this, the company plans switching to the Blu-ray format and said it is currently in the process of determining its release schedule for the Blu-ray format.
So far, Paramount has not given any idea what its first Blu-ray titles will be, such as whether it will start by releasing its currently HD DVD only releases on Blu-ray or do this at later stage after it releases some new titles on Blu-ray first. Eitherway, at least Blu-ray owners will soon be able to start getting Paramount titles in the near future.
