Our Japanese member koba used the newssubmit to let us know that Plextor will transfer all its business to its parent company Shinano Kenshi. Support for the drives on the market will all be handled by Shinano Kenshi. The merit of this will be that all the R&D, production, sales and support will be offered by one company and to speed up the decision making process as well as strengthen the corporate market. This is will also help Shinano Kenshi to cut costs and make it possible to offer competitive priced drives to the end customer. The japanese HQ of Plextor will remain as well as the Plextor Brand.
