Plextor Europe releases new firmwares for PX-708A and Premium

Plextor Europe notified us that there are two new firmware releases available on their website. The firmwares for their latest dual format 8x DVD recorder and the Plextor Premium CD-RW drive both introduce improved writing quality. The changelog of each firmware is as following:

PlexWriter Premium(-U) V1.04
    Added:
  • Support for writing on 32x Ultra Speed CD-RW (Mitsubishi Chemical Media SW74GU1).
  • Support for newer CD-R media.
    Improvements:
  • Write quality on Ultra Speed CD-RW media.
  • Write and read performance of GigaRec

PX-708A V1.01

    Fixed Bugs:
  • Compatibility with Dantz's Retrospect, Roxio's Drag to Disc and other utilities.
    Improvements:
  • Write performance for 8x writing on DVD+R media.
  • Write performance for DVD-R media.
  • Write performance for DVD-RW media.
