The website of Redfox, the new project from former Slysoft employees, now shows that it should be possible to purchase new licenses for AnyDVD HD within 1 or 2 days. A new AnyDVD HD beta makes it possible to test the software for 21 days for free.
Redfox took over development of AnyDVD HD after Slysoft had to close down due to legal issues. In February the Slysoft website disappeared, only the forum continued to work. Quickly thereafter Project Redfox was started by the former Slysoft employees who announced to continue development of Slysoft products.
Because Slysoft was no longer, also the methods to accept payments were gone. New licenses are also required because Redfox has no access to Slysoft's assets. Recently Redfox announced their new prices which are cheaper than those of Slysoft.
While the licenses can't be bought yet, it's currently possible to test a new version of AnyDVD HD. Redfox has released a new beta version of AnyDVD HD (8.0.0.3) that makes it possible to try the software for 21 days. This trial means the goodbye to old Slysoft licenses as they will no longer work. The trial also provides access to the new Online Protection Database (OPD).
According to the Redfox developers the new beta version was actually released to test their new trial system and their new OPD.
