ratDVD 0.77 released, adds profiles and first release of RATattack

The guys of RatDVD have released another new version of their software, bringing the version to 0.77. ratDVD is rapidly becoming popular on the internet. The software takes a full featured DVD movie and puts it into a highly compressed .ratDVD container format file - while preserving all the features of the original DVD. This new release add profiles.

Profiles are basically a set of rules that define how you want your DVDs to be encoded. For each category like main movie, extras and menus you can select if they should be included, the encoding method to use and the quality or average bitrate you want to use. Additionally you can set rules for the audio and subtitle stream handling based on format and language preferences. Here is the entire changelog:

And indeed, RATattack is a set of plugins that contains RATdecrypt (decrypts CSS in the background when you encode from DVD to ratDVD, RATcheck (handy if you want to check if a downloaded ratDVD is really complete and not damaged) and RATbatch (This is a program that does batch processing of multiple DVDs into the ratDVD format).

A direct download of ratDVD can be found here. If you want to download the RATattack files then you can download them directly from here (199kb zipped). We would also like to
