ratDVD v0.76 is out with direct ISO support

The crew of ratDVD has sent us an email to notify
us that they have released an update to their software. ratDVD is rapidly
becoming popular on the internet. The software takes a full featured DVD movie
and puts it into a highly compressed .ratDVD container format file - while
preserving all the features of the original DVD.  This release adds an ISO Image Plug-In, new playback components and of course some bug fixes.

Features:

  • Playback filter set with improved compatibility to the MS DVD Navigator:
-Making it possible to integrate ratDVD playback into media players with support for MS DVD Navigator in just a few lines of code
  • Extension of Import/Export Plug-In interfaces
New import plug-in to directly support ISO images as input

Bugfixes:

  • Fix for playback of ratDVD files with asian characters in file name
  • Fix for correct creation of ratDVD files when filename was specified manually and ratdvd extension was missing

Splinter, ratDVD Developer, also added "The playback components are totally reworked. This includes some bug fixing, especially for Asian languages, but the major advantage is, that the DVD Navigation interface is now fully compatible to the Microsoft DVD Navigation interface. This means that any player that uses the Microsoft DVD Navigation interface can support ratDVD by changing only a few lines of code". As always, you can get this release from CD Freaks Mirrors.
