Remove DVD ripping speed limitation for Toshiba SD-M1612/SD-M1712

DataGuard used our news submit to tell us that the firmware page has posted an interesting message on their forum. Via a hacked firmware it's possible to remove the DVD ripping speed limitation for the Toshiba SD-M1612 and SD-M1712 DVD-ROM drives:

Hijacker with the help of NEO finally removed the DVD ripping and DVD-R/RW/+R/+RW speed limitation/bug? for the Toshiba SD-M1612 and SD-M1712. They also removed the 40X CD read limit for some SD-M1612 firmware making the drive compatible with DVD+R/+RW. The firmware are available at http://hijacker.rpc1.org/toshiba_nolimit/
