It seems that offering remote storage solutions is becoming a style: Roxio also joined to the club announcing its online storage solution named BackOnTrack Online.
According to the announcement,
personal content is encrypted and uploaded to a remote and secure Roxio online backup center. In the event of computer data loss due to a crash, system theft, human error or even natural disaster, consumers' digital files can be quickly restored from any Web-connected computer. A 12-month subscription offering unlimited storage space is available for $49.99.
I still wonder why people should save their "irreplaceable photos of your baby's first steps" (as reported in the announce) in a remote place (not for free of course) when it is simpler to store all on a spare hard disc. Not to mention that "disasters" can occur also in places where Roxio stores their servers...
