Samsung SW-252B CD-RW review @ CDRLabs.com

Another review today as
CDRLabs.com has posted their review of the Samsung SW-252B CD-RW drive,
another drive that supports 52x read and write speeds while re-writing is done
at a maximum speed of 24x, all this using a huge 8MB buffer:

Samsung
has showed us once again that performance and features don't need to cost
a lot. With a price tag of less than $50 in some places, the SW-252B comes
through with 52x reading and writing speeds, 24x rewriting speeds and an
8MB buffer, something not found on many of the more expensive drives. When
you consider everything that the drive offers, it's easy to see why the
SW-252B is currently one of the best bangs for your
buck.

The SW-252B is also one of the
fastest writers we've tested. The drive turned in some very impressive
writing times, outperforming the 52x writers from LG and MSI in our tests.
The only writer with faster writing times was the Lite-On LTR-52246S and
then we're only talking a difference of one or two seconds. Unfortunately,
the SW-252B did not as perform quite as well when rewriting. While the
drive did alright in our Mt. Rainier tests, it was considerably slower
than some of the other drives when packet writing or rewriting with
programs like Nero.

Because the Samsung SW-252B is so cheap and performs very well
for its price, the drive gets CDRLabs' Best Buy Award. If you're interested in
