A leading intelligent identity security company, Sontiq, has revealed the acquisition of Breach Clarity, a highly-acclaimed data breach analytics fintech firm.
The patented BreachIQ capability will now be used in Sontiq's EZShield, IdentityForce, and Cyberscout. Sontiq's tech-enabled IIS Platform is used to develop all the company’s brands.
Sontiq is the first identity security company to offer customers an AI-driven and tailored risk score based on their data breach record, along with actionable next steps.

BreachIQ examines over 1,300 data points to measure a breach score that takes into account the extent and risks of a data breach disclosed publicly.
BreachIQ's universe of data and market intelligence will expand as millions of Sontiq customers gain access to it, resulting in a more comprehensive data collection and more reliable analyses.
Jim Van Dyke, Co-founder of Breach Clarity and one of the nation's top data breach experts, created a patented AI-driven algorithm that drives BreachIQ. At Sontiq, Van Dyke will be the SVP of Digital Financial Wellness. Sontiq will also be home to the rest of Breach Clarity's squad.
Van Dyke said, “Consumers’ sensitive personal information is exposed daily, and it is increasingly difficult for them to monitor who has their data and where it’s being leaked.”
“With the integration of our artificial intelligence algorithm and risk expertise, Sontiq will provide clarity to millions of consumers around their individualized risk profile and the protective actions steps likely to have the greatest impact,” he added.
“In combination with personalized advice and recovery with Sontiq’s white-glove resolution experts, consumers have never been in better hands. We are excited to work with Sontiq’s team to deliver additional, innovative solutions in the coming months.”
Brian Longe, CEO and President of Sontiq said, “It is becoming clear that consumers and the organizations that serve them desperately need clearer, more detailed information about the impact of data breaches to better safeguard their identities.”
“Consider our physical health; we wouldn’t accept generic health advice from a doctor. The same expectation for personalized protection must go for our digital health. BreachIQ provides the kind of analysis individuals aren’t getting anywhere else, and have gone without for too long,” he added.
Sontiq also previously announced activities such as the launch of its enhanced next-generation IIS cloud-based platform, and the purchase of Cyberscout, a specialist in cyber products and services for the insurance industry. The company even introduced its proprietary RepIQ, digital reputation management capability.
