TEAC announces the DV-W58DK, 8x dual format DVD recorder

TEAC Japan has posted the specifications on
their website of a new DVD recorder, the DV-W58DK, an 8x dual format recorder.
Last December TEAC already announced the DV-W58G, another 8x dual format recorder only this last
model supported 4x DVD-R recording speeds while the new model supports 8x DVD-R
recording speeds. Besides that, the DVD-RW recording speed of the
DV-W58DK has also been increased from 2x to 4x.

information on the TEAC DV-W58DK can be found here. There is no information available on what the drive is
going to cost but the Japanese TEAC website does mention that the drive will be
on sale starting from late January.
