About 2 days ago we reported about the new NVidia Detonator 4 drivers for most NVidia based VGA cards. With making use of this drivers, higher 3D perfomance was expected.
More performance for free sounds nice huh? So why not squeeze some more frames out of your VGA card? This all can be done with some registry tweaks.
How this can be done? Well you'll have to visit this url, submitted by CestLaVie.
Some short info:

This applies to Win2000/WinXP, so your mileage may vary with the Win9x/WinME OS's.Basically, what you want to do is look here:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEHARDWAREDEVICEMAPVIDEO
Assuming you're using one video card, you will want to double click (using Regedit) on "DeviceVideo0", and then take a look at the result. ......... Oh yeah...How does 122 FPS in 1024x768x32 w/ 64-tap aniso filtering sound? |
I haven't tried the Detonator 4 drivers yet, but when I do (very soon I presume) I'll test these customized registry-settings and see if it could do me any good......
