VW Beetle and Chrysler Crossfire CD player and radio

Ok, it's a little slow, so here is some light
news. Do you like gadgets? I do too. I4U is a good site to check out when
you are looking for interesting and unusual items. I have a nephew
that would sure like one of these VW Beetles for his room.

Motor
Trend magazine called the New Beetle, "a born again automotive icon '” a
cultural and design statement, a piece of fashion jewelry, a nostalgic
toy." Now, it's a stereo whose headlights and taillights turn on!

The all-new New Beetle CD Stereo 2.0 features AM/FM digital scan
tuner with 20 presets and an alarm clock that wakes you to the CD or a
buzzer. Dual stereo speakers are cleverly hidden in its wheels and provide
excellent stereo sound. The windshield is a backlit LCD that shows time,
CD track or radio station. Pop the hood to see all the controls. Also
includes a wireless remote with Volkswagen® logo for CD play and
tuner.

Press a headlamp and the front bumper
slides out to reveal the CD tray. CD functions include repeat, fast
forward, bass boost and auto-memory. The new New Beetle CD Stereo 2.0 is
nearly 17 inches long and plugs into any outlet with its included adapter.
Or power with 6 AA batteries (order separately). Remote uses 2 AAA
batteries (order separately). Includes headphone jack. Measures 16 3/4" x
7 1/4" x 7 3/4" and weighs 6 1/2 lbs. 90-day warranty. A Sharper Image
exclusive. Comes in authentic Red.

Kind of cool, and it is on sale right now for 99
bucks at the Sharper Image. According to
the article at I4U, there is a less expensive version for 49 dollars and
for the rich kids a 129 dollar Chrystler Crossfire.
