The I4U site is a great place to check for
gadgets. Having recently purchased an iRiver IH-120 I suddenly am having a lot
of fun with music again. My player is bulky but it holds a lot of music.
Sometimes, it's nice to just have a small flash based player to carry when you
are not needing to hold an entire collection. This little 128 or 256 megabyte
novelty is so small and light (24 grams including the rechargable battery!) it
could be worn full time. Plus, you can upload Jpegs to it's color display,
pretty cool. In addition, it uses some nice 3D icons for it's GUI. This is the
same company that made the news awhile back with the coin sized player. The
dimensions of this device in mm are 45 wide, 53 tall and 17 thick. It can
play for up to 10 hours per charge.
There are a couple things about this player that
may be disappointing for some. For one, it only plays MP3 and the other,
which I have found very important to me, is a lack of an FM tuner. However, it
is so small maybe that is not possible to implement. Just like computers, these
hardware items all have pluses and minuses. You just have to make a personal
choice. Unfortunately, this EMP-ZII is so new it isn't on the market yet and I4U says they
don't know what the price will be. But, we can bet many a teenager or
even an adult would like to have one of these.
