After months of speculation regarding a possible price cut, Kotaku received a photo from a Toys R Us circular that indicates the Nintendo Wii will soon receive a $50 price cut from $249.99 down to $199.99.
It still hasn't been confirmed yet, but this rumor seems all but true at the moment.

The Sony PlayStation 3 recently had a $100 price cut, with Microsoft also announcing a price cut for its Xbox 360 game console. The Xbox 360 Arcade edition remains the cheapest console currently available, but a Wii price cut would make it the second cheapest console available.
No one was surprised by PS3 and Xbox 360 price cuts, but numerous analysts said consumers would see a Wii price cut before the holiday shopping season. Even though the popular console has continually outsold both of its rivals, hardware and software sales have been extremely difficult for about a year -- game sales slid for a sixth consecutive month in a row.
