While USB2.0 CDRW drives are available on the market, Windows 2000 users with these devices will find them pretty useless. Microsoft has still not released USB2.0 drives for Windows 2000 and has forced websites that had leaked version to remove the drives from their site.

USB 2.0 drivers for Win2000, posted at a couple of Web sites have brought Microsoft's notorious ire into play.
Leaked beta USB 2.0 drivers for Win2000 have been pulled from both the LittleWhiteDog.com and Digital Silence.com sites. Apparently, Microsoft also has filed a complaint that alleges that those Web sites are in violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
