CD-RW Central has posted an article on the CD Recording engine that comes with Windows XP PRO. Here are some highlights:
- The CD Recording Engine is made by Roxio.
- The CD Recording Engine builds an IMAGE file before it writes the data to the CD!
- The CD Recording Engine works with a handy wizard.
- We noticed a few things wrong with the CD Recording Engine. It seems that some options are missing. You can not copy an audio CD at the moment or audio files from an audio CD. I think the screenshots look promising, but I doubt the CD Recording engine of Windows XP PRO can compete with the 'real' programs...
