CDRWcentral.com has a review on the Yamaha CDW-70 portable USB CD-RW Recorder. This drive does a nice 12x write, 8x rewrite, and 24x read and has Yamaha's Safeburn technology to prevent buffer underruns. The drives comes with Nero 5.5.

ConclusionWell, Yamaha's CRW-70 is a nice bit of kit if you want a mid range CD-RW Recorder that can be used on any PC (must have Windows 98SE or higher). The drive is light, well built and easy to install. Yamaha have also seen the need to supply leads that have a nice length on them. We really liked this drive, could not find anything wrong with it. We did not test the drives ability to produce backups using CloneCD, we have decided not to test drives in this way for the time being due to the way CloneCD works here in the UK. |
