Yamaha CRW-F1 review @ Bench House

Via our friends from CDRLabs.com I found a new review of the Yamaha CRW-F1 drive on the 'Bench House' website.

In the last few months, we were witnessing a serious lull in the CD-RW world, as new burners, except for questionable speed increases, didn't offer anything new. In light of events like this, it's refreshing to see something as unusual and impressive as the Yamaha 44x writer, maybe not entirely adequately named '“ F1. Although it is not really a Formula 1 in the world of CD-RW burners, this device definitely sets new standards.

Part of the Conclusion:

The unbelievable things this writer can do, besides the standard functions, place it on a considerably higher level than the rest of the competition. For real audiophiles, Yamaha 44x is all they ever wanted and always needed. Such efficient jitter reduction techniques that Yamaha has are still not available on any other commercially available writer. If you add to this the excellent results achieved for recording and reading, the low level of C1 errors, as well as the unbelievable speed of 24x for recording CD-RWs, you get an outstanding product.
