A Blu-ray Disc is a next-generation optical disc format like CDs and DVDs designed for high-density storage of high-definition video and data. Please note that these disks cannot be read by traditional DVD players. Blu-ray Disk players on the other hand are able to read CDs and DVDs, they are so called ‘backwards compatible’.
